Georgia Parent Survey

Please take the time to complete the GA Parent Survey.  The results of these surveys impact Austin’s overall School Climate Star Rating and College and Career Readiness Performance Index (CCRPI) score.  The survey will be available until March, 2018.  For the 2017 school year, our overall climate rating was a 95.9 with a 4-star rating.  We were only .5 of a point from earning a 5-star rating.  Our goal is to obtain that for the 2018 school year!

Coaches Needed for Spring 2018 Season

We need your help!  Are you the parent of a 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade girl?  Would you like your daughter to participate in Girls on the Run in the Spring at Austin?  As of now, we have no coaches for the Spring season.  In order to secure Austin as a site for the program, we need to have 4 coaches committed by December 1st.  There are SO many benefits to being a coach.  Your daughter will be in the program at a discounted rate, you have the privilege of training an amazing group of girls over the course of 12 weeks, and you will receive free CPR training and program training.  Each coach works 1 day a week for 12 weeks with another coach.  Help bring this amazing program back to Austin!  Interested or have questions?

Contact Kristen Poinsette at 770-395-9951 (H) or 321-287-5890 (C).

Austin is a Platinum Award Winner

Gov. Nathan Deal along with the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement (GOSA) announced that 187 Georgia public schools in 51 districts will receive the Highest Performing or Greatest Gains school awards.
Additionally, GOSA released its new School Reports website, which provides school performance reports for all public elementary, middle and high schools in Georgia. These reports will help parents, students, educators and communities have clear and concise information about school performance to better understand the strengths and challenges of their local schools.
