We are looking forward to a great 2024-25 school year at Austin Elementary and the opportunities it will bring for our National Blue Ribbon Award-winning school. Austin is seeking financial donations to the Austin Eagle Foundation from both our families and our wonderful community.
WHAT IS THE AUSTIN EAGLE FOUNDATION?
The Austin Eagle Foundation, founded in 2013, bridges the gap between student needs at Austin Elementary and the funding received each year by the State and District. Funds are raised through monetary donations and 100% is kept within the school for enhanced academic engagement and student support.
DID YOU KNOW?
State and county funding fails to fully support technology needs and other school resources. On average, it costs more than $200 per family above and beyond Dekalb County's budget to maintain the current level of academic programs and resources for our school. Many of the amazing academic programs and other initiatives described below, funded by the Austin Eagle Foundation, have led to the school’s continued growth and excellence:
● Classroom enrichment, PTO programming
● Literacy development and STEM resources; STEM Carts in classrooms
● Paraprofessional in-classroom support for students and teachers
● Technology and on-line learning software licenses
● Staff development and training, including Orton Gillingham training
● Seating and equipment for classroom spaces, playground
● Austin’s Triple-A Aftercare program for extended-day after school
● Dunwoody Dash 5K, Fun Run, and Family Festival
