It's that time of year again, Summer Reading Challenge! This year's theme is All Together Now. Pre-registration is live online at dekalblibrary.beanstack.org. The summer reading challenge will run from 06/01 to 07/31/2023.

Here is a flyer with general information about how to join the challenge, a calendar of events, and directions about how to link your student's DCSD Beanstack account to the Beanstack accounts at the public library.

Beanstack is a great app for tracking reading. It is a digital reading log for students to get credit for reading challenges at Austin and the summer reading challenge through the Dekalb Public Library.

How to access Beanstack:

All Austin students have access to Beanstack by logging into clever.com/in/dekalb with their student number and password on any device and then locating the Beanstack app. Once you are in the app, you can link your public library account to make sure you get credit for summer reading. Students in grades 2-5th grade have practiced using Beanstack at school and should know how to access it through Clever as long as they know their student number and password.

OR

You can access Beanstack by first signing into your Dekalb Library Beanstack account (dekalblibrary.beanstack.org) and then linking to your school account. Directions for linking your accounts to each other are in the attached PDFs.

Prizes:

In addition to any prizes or awards the Dunwoody Library gives out, at Austin we will be recognizing the grade level with the highest percentage of participation in the summer reading challenge with a special prize!
